History



The Royal Thai Navy College of Nursing is under the Ministry of Defense. Formerly known as the Midwifery and Healthcare Nursing School, the School was established with the graciousness of Her Royal Highness the Princess Mother , under the leadership of Naval Medical Chief Vice Admiral Sanit Posakrissana, and started the first class on 5th July 1968. The aim of the School is to supply female nurses who are expected to reflect good attitude towards the organization, understand Naval Medical Affairs, and be able to provide nursing service to the Royal Thai Navy’s personnel and the civilian in time of peace, emergency and war.

On 24th November 1989, the School was renamed the Royal Thai Navy College of Nursing, and the college joined Mahidol University as an associated institution. Therefore, graduates from the college received their degrees from Mahidol University ever since.

Currently, the college is accredited as a nursing and midwifery institution from the Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council.
